A Bucket List : Something To Strive For

A hundred things to to do before I die.

I know a lot of people don't like to make Bucket Lists because they feel like it sets them up for disappointment when they end up not achieving every bullet point on their list.

I don't see a bucket list as a checklist but almost as if a motivation booster, something to strive for.

My bucket is filled with things that I want to do in my career path and things I just want to conquer and achieve.

You shouldn't feel like you have to do everything on your list. The most important thing is to stay motivated and make your bucket list and put all the things you want on it and don't worry about conquering every thing on that list because you will conquer everything in time and at your own pace.

So don't make bucket lists that are lists of things to do before you are thirty. Don't put a time limit because you'll just stress yourself out and not even enjoy all the things you're doing because you're doing it in a time frame.

So I thought I'd share three items on my bucket list.(In no particular order.)

  1. Make a stop motion animated short film
  2.  Film something using a Phantom camera
  3.  Drive a 1957 Chevy be-lair.

(FYI a phantom camera is a camera that can film in super slow frames per seconds.)

So since I shared three items in my list, so In the comments tell me three of you'res I'd love to read it!

Bye Guys :)

My Week Of Motivation

So lately I've been kinda neglecting my blog (I've been queuing up posts for this blog but have not wrote a single word on any of them), and I'm really sorry about that. Lately it seems as though I've been become very unmotivated and that really angers. Not because the things I don't like doing(School, work) has unmotivated me and made me not want to do them but it's the things I love doing like reading and writing. Why am I so unmotivated?
It's because I'm spending all this time doing things I grudgingly don't want to do because I have to. When I finally get to what I like to do I don't have time or too tired or I'm so unmotivated to do it that I don't even bother and it makes me really angry.
I think that's the worst thing about the school system, they drill into you from day one that you have to meet their requirements and not fail them. What they don't understand they're failing you because they are not meeting your requirements for the proper education, your needs and interests. A student isn't a just a person, a student is a mind that wants to be fed and nurtured with knowledge.
That's why I think schools should focus on the things find interest in, rather than saying you need to take these class or you won't graduate.
So I've been unmotivated lately with everything like school, finals, writing, and anything that doesn't include me scrolling through my tumblr dashboard. So I figured maybe some of you are feeling the same way about school or work or finals and could use a motivation booster.
So for the next there will be a new post everyday titled 'Motivation Week'.
We'll get through our unmotivated funks together guys! See you guys tomorrow!

Room Accessories Wishlist

So last night on my Tumblr blog, I mentioned that I wanted to spruce up my room and organize it. Since my room is a mess and I want to get fun little bits and bobs for it to express (if that's the right word I want to use here?) myself into the piece of my room. Although I love all the things in my room, I don't think my fading Zac Efron posters that I hung up when I was twelve are doing anything for my style anymore (Although, have you seen how hot he's looked lately? Yum)

Since I do want to do a little redecoration, not a whole lot just a little,I thought I share with you guys my Wishlist of the cool shit I want for my room. Although there is a good chance I will probably not buy one thing on this list because I am a cheap son of a gun. Anyway let's proceed with my wishlist. (It will go from most expensive to least expensive)

*My Wishlist*

First thing I would love to purchase would be this Prepac Floating Desk that you can purchase at Best Buy for $165.98 with free shipping. I love the design of the desk so much, I like how much of a space saver it is. All you have to do is a assemble the desk and mount it using the metal hanging rail system to the wall. I'm actually really looking into buying this desk unit, it's exactly what I need for shelving and a good work space.

The chair is a True Innovations Simply Comfortable Leather bonded Executive Chair at Best Buy for $189.99. Now this is a pricey chair and I will never buy a office chair for that much money but this looks like the most comfortable chair in the freaking world. It just looks so luxurious and comfy that honestly would die for this chair.

The next three things that I would buy to decorate my room are from the amazing online store ThinkGeek. Thinkgeek has literally been my favorite store lately because of all the fun video game and movie novelty pieces. I'm obsessed with stuff like that, so that explains my choice of pieces.

Minecraft Light-Up Redstone Ore- $24.99. My favorite game right now is Minecraft. I mean who doesn't like minecraft? The company Mojang itself is brillant.
Tetris Stackable LED Desk Lamp- $39.99. This is such a fun idea and I would love this on my desk. Although I feel I would get destracted from my work and just be playing IRL Tetris.
Pac-Man Multi- Color Ghost Lamp- $49.99. This actually was one of the first things I ever saw at ThinkGeek and I've wanted to own it ever since. Although I will more than likely will wait for it to go on sale because it is quite pricey.

But Yeah that was my Room Accessories Wishlist. If you enjoyed the post, comment below and tell what you'd put on your wishlist to redecorate.

Creativity...Imagination....Ambition

It's not hard to create, it's not hard to imagine, it's not hard to have ambition. What is hard is the road getting there.

You have to take that first step to create, to let your imaginations roam, and peruse your ambitions because if you don't make that step yourself, no one else will.

They are big steps to take but you shouldn't be afraid to take them because this is for you and only you, and shouldn't be afraid to follow through with something that you want to do.

That's something I've realized in my years of trial and error, success and failure.

You can't stop yourself from succeeding because you're afraid. Because if you let your fear over come you, you'll never feel that success that you would have accomplished.

I said 'would' instead of 'could' because I believe if you have passion in something and give a 110% at it you will defiantly succeed. It's the discouragement that people receive on the journey there is where people give their talents doubts.

To this day, I still have to push forward and tell my self those words because let's be honest being told 'You're not good enough' 'You're not in our criteria' is very disheartening and discouraging. But sometimes you have to say "Fuck You, I'm passionate at what I do and I'm going to push forward"

Quote Of The Day

"I like to listen. I have learned a great deal from listening carefully. Most people never listen"
        -Ernest Hemingway

I've decided to do a quote of the day 'series' on my blog, where I pick a quote from a famous author, actor, movie or whatever else I choose and tell you what that quote means to me.

I decided to choose this quote by Ernest Hemingway because 1. Ernest Hemingway has been one of my favorite authors for the longest time and he ultimately is one of the three authors that have inspired me to become a writer and 2. I feel as though I can relate a lot to this quote.

My whole life I've loved to listen to stories and conversations rather than be the one telling them. Listening to stories from my parents, my grandparents, my aunts and uncles. It's always been my favorite thing in the world.

I feel like a lot of my morals and values have been instilled through the listening of the stories my family members have told me.

Also, I think listening is very important to your life because if you spend your entire life not listening well you'll never really know the amazing opinions and stories that others have to offer to enrich your life.

Here Is Where It Begins...

I start this off not knowing what to say or how to proceed in introducing myself. Introductions are always so hard to do, mainly because it's awkward talking about yourself, well at least in my opinion.Well, no need to prolong this any longer, let's jump right in. This is my blog, this is where my adventure begins.

The word I used to describe my beginning of this blog, 'adventure', is being used in the loosest of the term. I don't use it in the term of the physical sense of exploring new lands and discovering the unknown. I use it in the emotional sense. The adventure itself is for me and my growth as a writer.

I made this blog as a  platform for expressing my thoughts and get out whatever was floating in my head into words. It took me four days to write this, I kept putting it off and off. Now I've started typing, I'm quite enjoying this and have no regrets making this blog.

Having a blog has always interested me and something that I've wanted to try but was too much of a wimp to actually make. But in the last year I've learned that I shouldn't be afraid to create but embrace my creativity and not be afraid to share what I love to do with others.

So this is my first post on my blog. Welcome to the adventure and I hope you join along.
